When installing ceramic or porcelain tiles or mosaics, make sure all your products, substrate, tile, thinset and grout are compatible with each other. Inspect all materials before use and getting started. Dry lay or do a mockup to confirm your layout, grout joint size and that the final look meets your expectations.

Q: What size grout lines do the 12x48 tiles need at minimum?
A: Hi! We our recommendation is to start with 3/16", if there is a good substrate and installer possibly you can get it to 1/8" -
Q: It states the color is white, but it looks light grey in the photos. Would you say it's more white or more grey? Could you do light grey grout with this and have it blend nicely?
A: Order a sampleA: This tile is so great because it has a lot of dimensionality to it -- it's not a "solid" color but has some variation. I used a white-ish caulk and it looks perfect. I'd say it's a warm white that leans towards gray with a very beautiful patina/finish.

Beautiful tile. Perfect for pets. Variation in color is subtle and interesting, sort of like parchment paper. Feels soft on bare feet. Great for floors and shower floor and walls. Delivery was superb, no damaged tiles. Hard to detect repeat tiles; TileBar said there were 16 different tile faces.

Fireplace update
We used the bond foliage tile for our fireplace remodel. It is just stunning. I would recommend it but with the caveat that this is very tricky tile to work with. You need a very experienced installer to get the mosaic pattern working right. And you have to be sure the pattern is facing the right way or the tile sheets will not nest properly. We originally thought some of the tiles should be fully vertical and that was a big problem. Our first installer quit because he could not figure out how to work with it. It turned out the pattern needed to be turned about 30 degrees.
