When installing pearl tile, make sure all your products, substrate, tile, thinset and grout are compatible with each other. Inspect all materials before use and getting started. Dry lay or do a mockup to confirm your layout, grout joint size and that the final look meets your expectations.

Q: Can this mother of pearl penny mosaic tile be installed on shower floor?
A: This material is not suitable for shower floor installation. -
Q: What is the exact diameter of the round tiles please?
A: The round tiles (chips) have a diameter of 1". -
Q: what is the best technique for adhering this penny shell tile to tile board? The shell is very thin and it seems there will be problems with thin-set squeezing out between the joints excessively.

Q: I am wanting to use a grout with a sparkle to it for this tile? Light in color. What is recommended?

Q: What is a more accurate description of the color of this tile? The pics show a gray/silver example and cream/mother-of-pearl example. Which is more accurate:
A: In my place, it looks more like the creamy pearl white photo. It's beautiful and I get tons of compliments on it!A: Due to being natural stone, the colors can vary between the two examples you mentioned. For a more accurate example of what the current lot looks like, I would recommend ordering a sample and seeing it in person. -
Q: can i use this in a shower with steam room option?
A: Proceed with caution. The tile is suitable for shower walls, but not the floors. Pearl must be sealed as it is a natural stone. -
Q: can this be used in a shower stall???
A: This tile is perfectly suitable for showers. Just please be aware that this tile should not be submerged in water as that would cause it to discolor and darken over time, but mere contact with water is fine.

Stunning and unique
I used this tile for the backsplash in my kitchen and laundry room. I get SO many compliments on the tile. It is unique and eye-catching while also being subtle. There are slight glimmers of pearlescence, but nothing overwhelming. Due to the varied color pattern this tile would complement a wide selection of other tiles or surfaces. I found a similar tile first, then sourced this at Tile Bar and Tile Bar was way less expensive and did a fabulous delivery. Not a single piece was broken.
