When installing natural stone and marble tile, make sure all your products, substrate, tile, thinset and grout are compatible with each other. Inspect all materials before use and getting started. Dry lay or do a mockup to confirm your layout, grout joint size and that the final look meets your expectations.

General Notes

- All TileBar installation instructions are suggestions. Specific installation questions should be brought to a local tile professional.
- Follow directions on all materials, especially mixing quantities.
- Inspect all materials before using to make sure there are no defects. Installation is acceptance, material claims will not be entertained after install.
- Blending different boxes of tile is recommended before and during installation.
- Ensure proper Safety – PPE (ex: Gloves)
Stone Products
As products of nature, dimension stone will have inherent variation in color, shade, and character, included markings and veining, throughout any given lot of material. Water Sensitivity – Green colored marble and serpentines can wrap or curl. Filled voids can polish differently from the actual stone it fills.

Q: Can you use this tile behind a professional gas stove (Viking)?
A: Yes, i have it behind a jennair rangetop. No issues.A: Yes. See no problem. The brass detail is metal so will not be affected by the heat from stove. -
Q: WIll the brass age or oxidize when exposed to water/moisture? What sealer are you using to ensure the integrity of the stone and brass?
A: This material is not suggested for use in wet areas.
For normal care and maintenance of stone tiles, clean stone surfaces with a few drops of neutral cleaner, stone soap, or a mild liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. Use a clean soft cloth for best results. Too much cleaner or soap may leave a film and cause streaks. Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar, or other acids on marble or limestone. Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaners.
In terms of sealer, we would suggest Laticrete Impregnator Pro Sealer. -
Q: Can this be used on a shower floor? Â Why does the Louisa say it can be used on the floor and not this one? Â What is the difference?
A: I would NOT used on shower floor — especially with the brass metal piece — my customer used as a backsplashA: Whether it says it can or cannot, I definitely would not. The little mosaic tiles as well as the brass metal piece would be, in my opinion, a nightmare to deal with from a cleaning standpoint. Any harsh cleanser I’m sure would probably impact the metal. -
Q: What color grout do you recommend to use?
A: We suggest the Laticrete Permacolor Bright White Grout.A: we used white and it looks beautifulA: White looks bestA: Please note the Brass accents did fall off on several pieces. We were able to glue on site. Since installed not problems.A: Custom Grout - Bright White # 381 was used.A: In my research, I would use white grout on this beautiful marble tile so the brass will stand out. Try and get grout that does not need to be sealed. More $ but well worth it!!A: We matched it to the marble. not to the brass. -
Q: Can you use this tile in a shower?
A: This tile can be used on a shower wall, but we would definitely recommend sealing it (and resealing periodically) to maintain the look of both the marble and the brass.

I ordered for over the range design, but tile was too large and would not look good. This tile is absolutely gorgeous! The backsplash came out great for a coffee bar are in a new kitchen. I will note the bras is extremely soft. It cuts fine, but is easily bent and "pops' off the backing. It has to be glued back inot place before being grouted.
