Q: Is anyone aware of the return policy in case tiles show up broken or damaged?
A: You can find this information in our FAQs: https://www.tilebar.com/faq?footer. -
Q: Is this product sealed?
A: Laid this in our kitchen a year ago. It feels “sealed” but doesn’t require a sealer like Saltillo or Cotto because it’s porcelain, not porous. It’s wipeable and easy to clean.A: This tile is high-fire porcelain, so it has a hard/vitrified clay body and glaze. You are, perhaps, thinking of "saltillo tile" (similar look) which is made from a low-fire red clay body that does need periodic sealing. This tile does not.A: It is porcelain. It dies not been to be sealed. -
Q: Can this tile be installed outside in places that freeze?
-
Q: One of the product photos shows a lot of brown mixed in with the brick colorway - does the tile actually have some of that brown flashing? I don’t see it shown in any other photo.
A: Yes, there is a wide range of tones from tan to brown in the tiles. The predominant color is a burnt orangeA: I wish there was a way to pinpoint what you're referring to. I would say generally no - if you look at our floor, you'll see a lot of brick reds. But each tile is unique and some have some very light red (almost white) shaded sections to them, some have darker shades that could be described as brown. My impression is these are meant to mimic the look of Saltillo tiles and they do that really well. In other words - I'd expect and embrace some natural variation in color.A: I have this tile in my kitchen, it looks true to the orange, tan cream tones in the pictureA: Agreed with other answers. I purchased in the "brick" color and it is exactly as pictured in the first photo when you click on "brick"A: I would call the color "salmon" -- these tiles have a distinctly dark-pink hue to them.A: No brown. Very much like the first photo.A: NO. Our Terra Cotta brick does not have any brown flashing. It is the color of brick. I will try to send a photo of our floor if the format will allow it. Rita -
Q: What color grout is used the with “brick” color in the first photo?
A: Our recommended grout for this product is the Laticrete Permacolor Espresso Grout- 8lb.A: I see it's been answered. I have not done my floors yet but I will definitely consider Biscuit.A: Biscuit from Lowe's. We found bone to be a little dark. Biscuit becomes a little darker after being sealed. We love the final look. -
Q: I appears the tile is butted with a very thing grout joint. Is it lugged?
A: This material is not lugged. We suggest a minimum of 1/16th" groutline.A: I don’t believe it’s lugged. The installer used spacers.

Good company to deal with and excellent product!
Most beautiful tile in our house-and we have 4 other rooms with tile. We mixed a little darker color with the lightest color, and used a very interesting pattern to create a gorgeous floor. Love the tile when we got it and love it even more today!

The perfect tile doesn't exi?
Highly recommend the terracotta style tile. True to color with just enough variance. Shipping was simple and the driver unloaded and dropped in my detached garage, very convenient.

Earthy and beautiful.
Just a beautiful tile, if you are looking for something earthy, warm, and with comfortable levels of variation from tile-to-tile. Not slick and contemporary in appearance -- it is more suitable for log cabins, adobe/Southwest homes, country-style homes. I have a 100 year old NM adobe that I re-built, and this tile looks fantastic in it.
I took off one star because I had to get a small second-order, and the quality of those was different than my first order -- ie. bumps/defects in the glaze surface. I was comped for those and got enough to finish my job. So, watch out for some quality variation from batch-to-batch. I would recommend (as always for tile) getting some extras in your initial order,in case you need more. -
