Dry lay or do a mockup to confirm your layout, grout joint size and that the final look meets your expectations.

- Blending different boxes of tile is recommended before and during installation.

Stone Products
As products of nature, dimension stone will have inherent variation in color, shade, and character, included markings and veining, throughout any given lot of material. Water Sensitivity – Green colored marble and serpentines can wrap or curl. Filled voids can polish differently from the actual stone it fills.

Q: How to clean?
A: For marble, we suggest warm water with a small amount of dish soap. To maintain the integrity of the tile, we recommend using a sealer to help keep the tile stain resistant. Laticrete Natural Look Stain Protecting Sealer for Natural Stone- Tile- & Grout - Quart -
Q: How big is the sample?
A: The sample size for this tile selection is roughly 6x6. Sample sizes vary depending on the tile. All samples will be large enough for you to be able to see the color, finish, and material of the tile. -
Q: Should a sealer be applied to this tile and how often should it be applied?
A: After the stone is installed, and grouted, seal the stone with an appropriate high quality breathable stone sealer, to minimize water absorption, efflorescence, and potential staining. We recommend our polished sealer for polished stone. If necessary, a color enhancer may be applied to bring out the true color of the stone at any time after grouting. Follow sealer manufacturer's installation instructions. Reseal tile when the stone gets darker or as needed.A: It depends on how often the surface is used. Typical industry standards are about every 12 months to 2 years for heavy use. For normal use, the sealer could last you up to 4 years.A: Yes. A sealer should be applied to the tile and grout every 6-12 months. I did two coats of an industrial strength sealer since it was behind my stove which is used regularly.A: If you are using it as a backsplash, I would say yes. It is marble and can stain. Once we installed it for our client we did have an extra sealant applied and I would recommend doing that every 2-3 years. The more maintenance you offer marble the longer it will last.

Q: What kind of grout do you recommend using when used as a kitchen backsplash? do you also recommend that a backsplash be sealed?
A: We recommend using white non-sanded grout. This is marble and it should be sealed. -
Q: Would these tiles work as tile flooring in a kitchen? (support, cleaning, etc.)
A: Yes, absolutely. Please be sure to seal the tile, because this is natural stone. For normal care and maintenance of stone tiles, clean stone surfaces with a few drops of neutral cleaner, stone soap, or a mild liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. Use a clean soft cloth for best results. Too much cleaner or soap may leave a film and cause streaks. Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar, or other acids on marble or limestone. Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaners. -
