Q: Do you need to seal this tile? I’m going to use in shower walls.
A: I used this tile for my shower floor with black grout. I tried to protect the finished tile/grout while doing other work but my paper covering let in some paint and grout from my walls due to rips and poor application of the protective measures by myself (wall paint and grout were both white). I have tried to remove these stains but it is difficult. I have yet to use a wire brush or a more aggressive means so maybe that will help. The tile finish is smooth to the touch but textured, so it is difficult to clean.A: yesA: No you do not need to seal it. I have it on the floor of my shower. It is not a slick tile.I love it!A: Yes, if you have hard water the calcium deposits on the tile and grout. I wish I bought a lighter color tile because I have white calcium deposits that cant be removed unless I put some sort of acid on the area. -

A: This material is not suitable for countertop installation.A: I have used a similar product for a counter top...the penny tile. I like the way it looks, however, food and water gets stuck in the grout. Think coffee grounds and flour getting stuck in there. Wine or coffee spills. Melissa Mayes -

I love the tile itself. The delivery was a little rough and the boxes were torn up, some of the tile wasnt even in a box which led to some damage. Many of the tiles had broken loose of the mat/backing so it was a little tedious to put all the pieces back together.
