When installing natural stone and marble tile, make sure all your products, substrate, tile, thinset and grout are compatible with each other. Inspect all materials before use and getting started. Dry lay or do a mockup to confirm your layout, grout joint size and that the final look meets your expectations.

- Inspect all materials before using to make sure there are no defects. Installation is acceptance, material claims will not be entertained after install.
- Blending different boxes of tile is recommended before and during installation.

Stone Products
As products of nature, dimension stone will have inherent variation in color, shade, and character, included markings and veining, throughout any given lot of material. Water Sensitivity – Green colored marble and serpentines can wrap or curl. Filled voids can polish differently from the actual stone it fills.

Q: Does this tile get slick when wet? Can it be used in a pool area?
A: Its honed and has a little texture so not really crazy slick when wet. Would be good in a pool area. I used in a pool house bathroomA: The larger tiles can be slick. I would not use this tile around a pool.A: I have it outside and have not had any problems with it when wet. -
Q: Would this work as a kitchen backsplash?
A: No. The tiles are very large format and extremely heavy. There is too much variation in sizing and the wider grout lines would be very difficult to clean. We installed this as flooring in a mid century kitchen renovation and absolutely love it. You would want to go with a thinner mosaic in smaller sheets for a stone mosaic backsplash.A: Probably but I used it as the bottom of a garden window. It’s great looking tile!A: Yes! You can totally use it for backsplash! We did in our vacation cabin! We used it for backsplash and around our hearth. Check it out @cozycedars for pics.
U can use a tile/ stone saw and it cuts great u can fit pieces for outlets etc.
only thing Id recc is using a clear stone sealer so when cooking if oil or sauces splash up its easier to clean.
Overall its been easy to clean and looks great but in a vacation cabin setting we should have sealed it. But if you’re using it for your self at home and can be somewhat careful u should be just fine!A: I would advise against standard backsplash. The pieces are too big and thick for standard. If you have a huge open wall, an out door kitchen, and the proportion fits sure. Do not use it where you need to put outlets or around a corner or without it ending in a natural stopping point. This is only to be installed by an experienced professional.A: There’s another question about hanging on the wall which was answered well! It comes in large sheets, 40x40 inches so hard to install vertically but you can cut the sheets and place the stones more manually for the smaller space. Difficult but doable -
Q: How thick is this tile in inches?
A: 3/8 inchA: It was 3/16” to 1/4”

Q: Does this tile need to be sealed?
A: Stone is naturally porous, so a stone-impregnating sealer should keep your installation protected. How often you need to reapply sealer will depend how high the traffic is in the area.
Find a matching cleaner that will not remove the sealer. There are harsher cleaners available in case of an accident, but they must be used carefully by following all instructions.
Always test a non-visible area before using a product on the whole space -
Q: Has anyone done the java color with a white (or cream) grout? If so, I would love to see a photo!
A: Not sure if this helps, but the tile is more grey in life than in the pictures. I installed with the recommended grout color (I think?) smoke grey - it's a nice light contrast, I love it! I just posted a review so my pics associated with it should be up soon! -

Won't disappoint
Gorgeous flag stone in beautiful creamy whites and grey black -gives off a European chateau or farmhouse vibe. Sheets are 41x41" and my installer dismantled everything and created a custom arrangement . I would get multiple samples to make sure the colors are what you want .

Midcentury with a fancy modern twist
I had been searching for this exact tile for our mid century house for months and then viola! I found it here. The pieces are big and beautiful. The tone and textures of each piece vary (in a good way). There are some yellow stains on some of the pieces that I wasn't crazy about and you can see cut marks on some of the stone pieces as well. Hence the 4 stars. But I am still happy with it. I want to use it for a floor to ceiling midcentury vibe fireplace at some point!

Unique and gorgeous stone
Love this tile so much! Extremely difficult install. I did a dry fit but since everything can shift so easily it quickly became just a place where each stone fits kind of situation. Grouting was also hard with extremely wide joints. I used prism grout so really had to make sure I was cleaning up. I sealed the tile too and once it was clean, the brown tones came out more than when it first showed up. (I still don?t think it?s quite as brown as in pictures but those colors come out when the tile is wet). I?ve already had people comment. I used this as just an unusual entryway accent tile and it looks amazing. Keep in mind, it comes in 4ft by 4ft sheets held together by a mesh. I ended up cutting them apart to ease install. The stones are also slightly different depths so don?t expect to get a perfectly level floor without some serious work to get it level.
