Q: How do you clean this on a kitchen backsplash? Â Is it porous?
A: I imagine with painstaking difficulty. It requires quite a lot of grout. If you are looking for a low-maintenance backsplash, this is probably not the product for you.A: Hi Alica! We agree with Kim. It's a natural material so it is porous and we recommend sealing the material if you have concerns regarding stains. It's also good practice to clean up any spatters sooner rather than later to maintain the integrity of the tile.A: As it is a natural stone, it is porous. It is also honed which typically makes it more porous. We sealed it prior to installation and again after installation. I would then follow the sealant's cleaning recommendations . I also advise re-sealing a few times a year especially in areas that get wiped down the most. When a spritz of water no longer "beads" (like rain on a waxed car), it's time to re-seal. -
Q: It says only walls, yet it shows it on the floor. Has anyone used this on floors?
A: Hi Ashley! We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Initially, we categorized this tile for both wall and floor use. However, we have recently updated our rating to wall-only due to the potential for sharp edges. Our clients' safety, wellbeing, and confidence in our product are our top priority, and we are actively working to have this photo removed.

Gorgeous- worked perfectly for a beach house
This tile is beautiful. I used it in my client's beach house. My client loved it the second I showed her the sample. We constantly get compliments on it. The contractor said it wasn't too hard to install. I paired it with Bright White grout.

Love the stones and how they look new, TBD how I will feel scrubbing grout.
I love the stones and it came out beautifully, but from a practical standpoint, they do require a lot of grout due to the uneven size and height of the stones, especially if using as a shower floor (which I did) to prevent water from pooling in low spots. But that is the nature of any natural stone mosaic, not a flaw of the product. I love the stones, but I do worry it will be hard to keep all this grout clean. I hope I do not wish I had gotten something with cleaner edges to cut down on grout and maintenance. Looks beautiful for now though!
