When installing natural stone and marble tile, make sure all your products, substrate, tile, thinset and grout are compatible with each other. Inspect all materials before use and getting started. Dry lay or do a mockup to confirm your layout, grout joint size and that the final look meets your expectations.

- All TileBar installation instructions are suggestions. Specific installation questions should be brought to a local tile professional.
- Follow directions on all materials, especially mixing quantities.
- Inspect all materials before using to make sure there are no defects. Installation is acceptance, material claims will not be entertained after install.
- Blending different boxes of tile is recommended before and during installation.
- Ensure proper Safety – PPE (ex: Gloves)
Stone Products
As products of nature, dimension stone will have inherent variation in color, shade, and character, included markings and veining, throughout any given lot of material. Water Sensitivity – Green colored marble and serpentines can wrap or curl. Filled voids can polish differently from the actual stone it fills.

Q: Can this be installed on a shower wall? It states "bathroom wall" and "backsplash", however, need to confirm that a shower wall application is copacetic prior to purchase.
A: it would be a beautiful decorative wall without plumbing. A backsplash is ideal.
Note the thickness of the tile when looking for a trim piece or schluter.
Whatever you select it would be beautiful.A: Technically, I think it could be used in a shower however there is a lot to consider. It's incredibly thick, it likely wouldn't be able to be used on the outside walls as it would be difficult to find a trim piece that works with the thickness. It wouldn't be able to be used on a plumbing wall as it would be difficult to impossible to get a fitting to sit plumb. Perhaps on a backwall of a shower where it dies into side walls and trim wouldn't be necessary. If you are in a location with hard water, you might want to look for a lighter marble as calcium can build up on dark tile.A: It is a very thick and heavy tile with lots of grooves. It is absolutely beautiful, but I would not put it in a shower. -
Q: How does this tile sit around an outlet with the varying thicknesses?
A: It should be more than fine, you can do a dry lay to see where the outlet will fall with the tile's slope. There are outlet covers on the market to use with 3D tiles as well. -
Q: Could this be installed on a gas fireplace surround?

Q: Hi. What is the depth or “thickness” of each tile ?
A: The thickness varies due to the texture of the tile. It is 1/2-3/4 inches thick and quite heavy as well. -
Q: What is the best grout spacing for this design?
A: Depends on how thick you want the grout lines to be. We recommend a minimum of 1/8".A: 3/16 -
Q: Love the calypso tile! Can it be put as a border around a wood burning fireplace?
