Inspect all materials before use and getting started. Dry lay or do a mockup to confirm your layout, grout joint size and that the final look meets your expectations.

Q: Hi. We have this tile in our bathroom. Some of the tiles are fading in color. We use normal cleaning materials to mop. Is this typical? What do you recommended while cleaning these tiles?

Q: What sealant do you recommend to prevent staining?
A: Keeping an installation looking new is not as difficult as you may think. Regular cleaning of the area with a neutral PH non-acidic cleaner should do the job. There are harsher cleaners available in case of an accident, but they must be used carefully by following all instructions. Always test a non-visible area before using a product on the whole space. Use a sealer on the grout to protect it from dirt and stains.A: i'm not sure we used a sealant honestly. I have it as my stove backsplash in my main house and as a bathroom floor in my rental. I have not experienced staining in either. I love this tile. I think it is pretty fanciful and helps set your design mood. Good luck! -

Q: Are these tiles porcelain or cement? The description for the La Pax series says porcelain but also cement, encaustic.
A: The Lapaz tile is porcelain. It feels like encaustic cement tiles and seems thicker than regular porcelain tiles. The color online does not do the tile justice. The colors are subtile like encaustic cement and the feel is smooth like cement. They are simply beautiful.A: porcelain.A: They are porcelain, but have a cement look

I bought this tile, then I went to Mexico and saw it everywhere. Pretty good. Do be concerned with batches. Tiles from different orders could produce a discrepancy. They are very helpful with that if you need to re-up because you didn't order enough, like me, or otherwise.
