1. You must request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) form by emailing [email protected].
2. Samples, clearance, FINAL SALE items, and custom orders are non-refundable.
3. In order for us to continue to be able to offer affordable pricing, a 15% restocking fee is assessed on all returns. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Customer are responsible for return shipping charges and arrangements.
4. All returns must be in their original packaging and in the condition in which they were received.

It is recommended that this material be sealed for indoor use in damp areas. For outdoor use, Cortona may patina naturally as there is no need to seal.
Natural surface variation
A sign of authenticity, natural calcium and salt deposits in mineral-rich terracotta clay result in small white surface flecks that can be removed or left on for added patina.

AUTHENTIC ITALIAN TERRACOTTA
Made through a distinctly old-world process, the Terra Cortona collection of authentic, Italian terracotta features gently tumbled edges and an arrotatura finish created with specialized steel brushes. Available in a wide array of sizes, including subway and a variety of mosaics, Terra Cortona can be installed as a backsplash, fireplace surround, and even outdoors on walls or floors. Inspired by Spanish-revival style, this versatile collection lends itself equally well to contemporary spaces. -
CLAY WITH CHARACTER
Formed from mineral rich galestro clay, a natural material uniquely suited to producing high-quality terracotta, Italian made Cortona is produced using age old techniques. This distinctively hued clay, found in the valleys of the Ema and Greve rivers near Florence, is put through a long air-dry process. The dried terracotta is then brushed with steel to create its signature lightly textured surface in a process called “arrotatura.” This process also cleans the material from the extrusion marks and gives it the typical cotto brushed surface. Fired at high temperatures, the resulting tiles are incredibly durable and will age beautifully.
