What is Nanoglass Tile?
Nanoglass tile is a crystalized glass surface that is as durable as granite but also stainproof, making it incredibly easy to maintain. Its strength comes from the manufacturing process of sintering. Powdered materials such as silica, marble, and other natural materials are compressed and heated for an extended period of time, fusing together to form an incredibly strong and impermeable crystalline surface. In the case of our Nanoglass White Collection, we have also fused this surface to create added strength and versatility in installation.

Q: Can you achieve a clean mitered edge easily without chipping or is that joint not recommended on this particular crystallized glass tile?
A: Cutting
Use a glasscutter (score and snap) with a new diamond wheel for best results when cutting our glass tiles. Wetting the diamond wheel with oil before cutting will produce the smoothest cuts. In some cases it may be possible to use a wet-saw with a new, continuous rim diamond blade specifically designed for cutting glass. Do not use turbo or other notched blades designed for use with porcelain or ceramic as the teeth can cause a coarse cut, resulting in a heavily chipped edge. To cut angles without a wet saw or grinder, drill a small hole at the apex of the angle prior to cutting. In most cases, this will allow the use of a score and snap cutter and avoid small cracks that can happen at the angle. Cut edges and corners will be sharp. Always be sure to smooth the cut edges manually with a diamond hand pad or ceramic dressing stone. -
Q: Why does the video for this tile say you don't need a sealant and the install instructions say to seal with MP90?
A: The grout needs to be sealed, but the tile does not. Sorry for the confusion, we will get this corrected. -
Q: What do you recommend this be paired with for a bullnose (shower sides and half wall in the rest of the bathroom)?
A: I used Schluter Tile Trim for a more finished and contemporary styleA: You can get a thassos pencil and chair rail . Tile bar has both . I would suggest getting a sample to see how the white's match up. best, Susanne Kelley DesignA: I used plain white quartz and it looks stunning. I had pieces cut for the edge of the shower and bench. The tile and quartz look great together.A: Hi. We used a white metal Schluter strip and it worked great. This is beautiful tile!A: We used this for a kitchen backsplash. Instead of a bullnose, our installer used a thin bright white painted metal end piece. It is the same thickness as the tile and looks nice as an option. He just grouted right up to it with the brick pattern. You hardly notice it is there. -
Q: does this have a bullnose or pencil to finish shower?

Alternatively, you can line the tile with a clean caulk line that matches the color of the grout.A: I don't think there is either one. I used green marble pencil.A: We did not see either available on this site and I think they are exclusive to it. We used this for a kitchen backsplash. To finish off an exposed end we just used a white floor metal strip that was mortared in under it. Then grouted up to it. It is a very nice tile. Cleans easily and is beautiful! It is somewhat reflective when finished. Very pretty with undercabinet lights.A: My understanding is no. We used a white metal Schluter strip and it worked great.A: No it does not, but I used a piece of white quartz for the edges and it looks great! We used this tile in two bathrooms and love it. Use white quartz for the finishing edge! -
Q: is this glass or marble particles?
A: This is a crystallized glass on a porcelain backing. The glass is manufactured to look and feel exactly like White Thassos marble. -
Q: How does the crystallized glass thassos compare in texture, etc, to the real thassos marble? Just wondering if it is worth the savings. I want the look of real thassos marble.
A: It's pretty close, though there is definitely something different about it. It genuinely looks like Thassos that has been polished and glassified/crystallized. The best way to find out is to order a sample of it and compare it to the real thing. -

Just wondering if this can be used for tile in the shower, and can it also be used on the floor?A: Hi, this tile can be used for shower walls. Would not recommend it for a shower floor, it would be too slippery. It is great for all other floors though. It's a beautiful tile and it's durable, non-porous and stain resistant.

Beautiful, but difficult.
This is a great looking tile. It has a glossy sheen and reflects light. Super easy to clean and very durable. I've used a few times in a bathroom remodels. However, I would not use unless you are taking it up the entire wall and wall to wall. This tile does not come with any trim pieces. AND it has a unique depth which makes it incompatible with Schluter metal trims. And it's difficult to match because it's glass. It has a Thassos marble look so I needed up using marble trims that match closely, but not exactly.

Unwanted Reflection
I loved the stark whiteness of this tile in the photos and in the sample I got. I used the Nanoglass tiles in the shower and put a border of small glass turquoise tiles around the top. Evidently the Nano tiles are reflecting the turquoise as they now all have a dingy blue look. Not the look I wanted. The tub is not reflecting the turquoise, just the tiles. I was most disappointed.
