About The Tile This captivating mother of pearl tile in white is artfully arranged in a 3D Square pattern. The pearl shell will add a durability and lasting exquisiteness to your kitchen or fireplace installation. These tiles are mesh mounted and will bring a sleek and contemporary design to any room. This tile in particular does not require grout.
Pearl tile is not recommended to install in places where it will be submerged in water, such as a shower floor or pool, as submersion will cause the tile to darken over time.

When installing pearl tile, make sure all your products, substrate, tile, thinset and grout are compatible with each other. Inspect all materials before use and getting started. Dry lay or do a mockup to confirm your layout, grout joint size and that the final look meets your expectations.

As products of nature, pearl will have inherent variation in color, shade, and character, included markings and veining, throughout any given lot of material.

Q: Could this be used outdoors? I would like to use it on my stair risers in an area with limited water and sun exposure. (Would be vertically installed like a wall)
A: This item is unfortunately not rated for outdoor use. To preserve the integrity of the tile we advise to use it indoors.A: I think the tile would be fine, depends on the caulk/ paste.

Q: Can this be installed in a steam shower?
A: We would not suggest installing this material in a steam shower. -
Q: can this be used for a kitchen backsplash behind a stove without staining from oil ?

Q: I am using this for a bathroom backsplash about 5" high. Is it too thin for that? Would it need a border?
A: I used it in my bathroom as a back splash and I put up a bull nose (border). I really like it. I’ve also used a similar design (thin) in my kitchen as a backsplash.A: I need more info about your bathroom. You should order a sample and you will get a much better idea. I don’t have a border around it. It’s completely covering a wall in my bathroom -
Q: Can I put this on a shower floor?
A: This tile cannot be used on a shower floor. It is far too thin to go on a floor, and cannot be submerged in water. Water and moisture would cause discoloration, and erosion. -
Q: can I use it around a fireplace? (tile area)
A: Yes, absolutely. -
Q: What kind of border, listello or pencil, works well with the mother of pearl?
A: The tile is so thin that you don't really need one for this tile. That said, you could always try one of our glass pencil liners.
